These give zone-by-zone downhole measurements of fluid parameters, yielding information on the kind of fluid flow within and near the wellbore. Production Logging Instruments
There are a variety of production logging instruments available for assessing the performance of producing and injection wells. The sensors that have been added are as follows: -Thermocouple -Fluid density (Acoustic) -A water hold-up meter. -Electrical conductivity -Spinners for flowmeters (continuous, full bore, diverter) -X-Y calliper for pressure -Disturbance (single frequency, multiple frequency) CCL/Gamma Ray Many of these sensors can be integrated into a single tool and recorded at the same time to detect fluid entrances and exits, standing liquid levels, bottom hole flowing and shut-in pressures, pressure losses in the tubing, and the integrity of the gravel pack and hardware components.
